I only need the AV for Movies/Sky only and not for music. From specs they both seem identical and the 1080 is overkill for my needs. I have an STR DH590 and leave mine on Direct all the time. Surround movies or shows play in 5.1 and music plays in stereo(also utilizing the subwoofer).
